About Us
The Jazz Club of WA
The Jazz Club of Western Australia is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1983 to support and promote traditional jazz music in the state of Western Australia.
We provide a platform for local jazz musicians to showcase their talents, featuring a mix of established and emerging artists.
We present the best of local vintage jazz every Tuesday in the Milk Bar band room in the Civic Hotel. It's a classic room with a great feel.
The club is enabled by a group of hard-working volunteers. Entry is reasonable, and after running costs, the door fees pay the musicians.
The Jazz Club of Western Australia is a vital part of the WA jazz community, providing a platform for local musicians, encouraging new jazz enthusiasts, and fostering a greater appreciation for this rich and vibrant genre of music.
In 2023, we celebrated our 40th anniversary. The celebratory video includes some interesting interviews about the club.
