About the event
The Kent Street Riverside Stompers have been playing for many years, and were well-known for featuring a bass saxophone in mainly 2-beat riverboat-style numbers. Their current incarnation blends a variety of horns, bringing a bright forward-focused sound that builds on their stomping heritage to include a variety of rhythms and feels.
For tonight performance the band is paying tribute to the great cornettist and composer Bix Beiderbeck, and will feature much of his work.
Their sound is great for listening or stepping out.
