Perth's Got Talent

This competition on the 13th Oct 2026 was for musicians who had not previously played at our club in a small-band combo. Musicians represented a community band that they played in or otherwise nominated to receive the prize.

The following community bands received the prize money:

1st $1000 Perth Hills Big Band

represented by Perth Hills Trad Band 

Adrian Raeber (trumpet), Zoe McGivern (trumpet), Lachlan Hodgkin (trombone), Stuart Campbell (alto sax), Jackson McBride (piano), Klaus Backheuer (bass), Matt Arnold (drums), Calen Wookey (vocals). 

2nd $600 South Perth Lions Big Band

represented by South Perth Lions Dixie Ensemble

Isabella Nguyen (piano), Rob Thorpe (guitar), Thom Selim (drums), Anjali Vasikaran (bass), Caitlin Burke (clarinet), Jacqui Nielsen (tenor sax), Mike Webb (trombone), David Mitchell (trumpet).

3rd $400 shared between Cambridge Players and Leeming Area Community Bands

represented by the Bradbury Jazz Band
